No. Household products can be caustic and may cause damage to aircraft exterior and interior surfaces.

Never wash your windscreen and windows with soap, water, and wash brushes. Avoid using household window cleaners because they contain chemicals that can craze plastic transparencies.

Yes. Aircraft surfaces need regular protection and polishing. Like any painted surface, when exposed to UV, acid rain, bugs, etc…painted surfaces can become dull and oxidized without periodic polishing.

  • Are automotive products safe on my aircraft?

Products that are not made specifically for use on aircraft could have negative effects on aircraft surfaces.

  • How long will polish or wax last on my aircraft?

Longevity will depend on the number of flight hours, flying conditions, what cleaners are used, and whether the aircraft is hangered. Depending on those variables, a protective barrier should last between 6 and 12 months.

  • Can I apply polish to my aircraft after painting?

Yes. A good rule of thumb is to wait 30 days after painting since different paints cure at different rates.

  • Can I use Jet Stream Products on my fabric aircraft?

Yes. Every Jet Stream Product can be used on fabric aircraft except Pbs Boot Sealant and Pbs Prep and that’s because fabric aircraft do not have de-ice boots.
